Welcome to our Nursery Room.

This room caters from 6 weeks to 18 months old and can have 12 children in attendance with 3 Educators. The room routines and curriculum are child centered which assists with fostering the children's sense of wellbeing and belonging. Each day the children are provided with age appropriate activities to engage with to further all areas of development.

Introducing Ms Anasa.
Ms Anasa is the Senior Educator in our Nursery Room. Ms Anasa holds her Diploma in Children's Services and has been working at the Centre for 2 years. Ms Anasa values the importance of her role as an Educator. She endeavors to foster the children's development and build learning relationships with them through play based learning. This allows the children to gain a stronger sense of wellbeing which helps with the transition into the early years setting.
Ms Anasa loves to keep active in her spare time.

Science activities help children to develop key life skills due to the relevance to their lives and the ability to apply these vital life-skills to everyday activities. Children are given the opportunity to generate ideas, explore their senses, remain focused, be hands-on, engage in communication and make decisions. Children are surrounded by a world that provides them with so many natural opportunities to enhance these skills learnt through teacher initiated activities. Crazy Sock Day today showcased creativity and allowed the children to engage in conversations around colours, patterns and images. Centre events allow the children to have a sense of belonging within the Southport Child Care Centre Community.
